Peter Franklyn Banks is a photographer, director and filmmaker who focuses on human stories, approaching difficult subjects with empathy.
He is recognized for his work directing some of the most iconic athletes, from Leo Messi and Harry Kane to Ronaldo and the world’s strongest men.
His commercial work has been noticed by Cannes Lions, Kinsale, and Creative Circle.
Banks has also photographed musicians, artists and even royalty for various publications and brands. He created photographic artwork, including a uk no1 album cover for Island Records indie band The Lathums.
What drew me to Peter’s work initially, was his project ‘A Dream For The Future’. The recognisable, british tradition of shirt signing when finishing school, sparked my interest in human stories and sentiment.
I love the warmth and personable feel of his photography and films. Sharing important stories, exploring the human experience is what inspires and fuels my own practice.
