Why?
I love mixed media and texture, especially when it’s brought into the typically flat, digital space. Chase’s grain and glow and washed out look to some of his work is what really inspires me and I aim to include more when creating digitally, as it adds a whole knew feel and extra layer that ultimately makes the designs more interesting.
Chase’s style of design ranges from careful, minimal compositions to messy, grainy typography and everything inbetween.
When designing, Chase enjoys considering all possibilities in a digital space by bringing in hand drawn or self-manipulated imagery or typography to add a special level of dimension.
He believes in merging music into design whenever he can. His design playlist includes Donna’s Dim All The Lights and the entirety of Robyn’s new album. Chase dreams of designing album covers and packaging for artists like SZA, Solange, Wet, and Frank Ocean, to name a few.
